Megamod Snapshot: January 2025

Megamod is an ecosystem for game creators, players, and streamers, redefining how games are made and experienced

In 2023, we launched a UGC game editor that enables anyone—even those with no prior game dev or coding experience—to create professional-quality games. Here’s a short video showcasing how it works. The editor allows users to quickly build voxel graphics parkour tracks, runners, and quests. It includes ready-made game mechanics, so creating a game takes an average of just 3–4 hours. Today, our community has over 4,500 creators, and our catalog includes more than 80,000 games. ****All the games are browser-based, accessible from any device, and lightweight, requiring no high-end hardware or exceptional internet speeds. This ensures that anyone, anywhere, can enjoy the experience without technical limitations, making it even more attractive to a wider audience.

Our creators community is able to build complex games and branding worlds upon request (showreel available). In 2024, we received external validation of the quality of games made by our creators. We started working with CrazyGames, where we've maintained a high rating (8.4/10) for nine months while uploading new releases weekly. Additionally, the Megamod game editor was shortlisted for the 2024 Mobile Games Awards in the Best Game Engine/Creation Platform category, alongside industry giants like Roblox and Epic Games.

Our key focus now: developing the streamers-led gameplay. Initially, we collaborated with streamers for game testing and stress testing. However, we noticed that players coming from streams have higher engagement metrics (playtime, retention) than those from traditional platforms. In summer 2024, we launched StreamPlay—a tool that allows streamers not just to play with their audience but to control the gameplay itself. And our gaming space can accommodate up ****to 1000 players simultaneously, a technical capability that no other platform currently offers, which is also very appealing to streamers.

Now, streamers can:

Modify gameplay (e.g., flip the world upside down or respawn all players) and give advantages to some players while hindering others

Launch special interactive game modes (e.g., a zombie mode for Halloween, where one player infects others while the streamer can help or interfere with either side)

Run partner drops in the game, turning it into a live show.

We see StreamPlay as Megamod’s main growth driver in 2025. Right now, we are testing a B2B model, creating game worlds and events for partners.
